WELCOME TO KRIYA YOGA WITH SAMANTHA

A 90 minute session of breath, movement, voice, tapping, somatic work, energy work, and meditation. Many modalities, one intentional session, designed to release the emotion your body has been holding in places you stopped feeling years ago.

You don't feel stuck because you are broken.

You feel stuck because emotion you never got to express is trapped in tissue that has forgotten how to let it move.

The shoulders that hold your fear.

The hips that hold your shame.

The throat that holds every word you swallowed.

The chest that holds your grief.

The jaw that holds your anger.

The diaphragm that hasn't taken a full breath in years.

Your body is not making this up.

It has been carrying these emotions in specific places, in specific tissues, for specific reasons.

That is the metaphysics of stuck emotion.

It does not stay abstract.

It lodges. It hardens. It calcifies.

And left untreated, what starts as tightness becomes inflammation, becomes injury, becomes disease.

This is why the body has to be met directly.

Not analysed. Not understood. Met.

Reclaim your voice.

Release what your body has been holding.

Kriya is many modalities, one intentional session.

Every breath, every movement, every tap, every sound is chosen for a reason.

We work with breath to move the energy.

We work with movement to open the channels.

We work with the voice to release what the throat has held.

We use somatic work to meet the tissue directly.

We use affirmations to anchor the new pattern.

We use energy work to move what cannot be reached through the body alone.

We use tapping to release stuck emotion lodged in the physical vessel.

This is not Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).

This is not Thought Field Therapy (TFT).

We share elements with both, but our intent is different. We are not tapping to manage a feeling, we are tapping to release stuck emotion that has lodged in the physical body.

And we close in meditation, to let everything settle.

Kriya is NOT a Yoga Class

It is not a workout.

It is not a wellness session.

It is an inward journey, supported by many tools, all working at once, all chosen with intention, to bring you back into a body that has been holding too much for too long.

Most people leave with emotion moved that has been stuck for years.

Energy is not local, so you'll get just as much transformation potency in the online transmission as you would in person.

Mums, you know what I'm talking about. You know when something is wrong with your kids. You don't need to be in the same room or the same house, because energy is not confined by geography.

Neither is the healing energy we are transmitting in session.

P.S. Mums, your child also knows when something is wrong with you.

Which is why all of us, whether parent, partner, or individual, need to do our own healing. It impacts us, the people around us, the generations before, and the generations still to come.

What's Does Kriya Yoga Look Like?

1. BREATH

In practices like the Kali breath, we use sound deliberately, and often loudly to open the channels, and move energy through the body.

2. VOICE

The voice is one of the most direct pathways to releasing what has been held in the throat, chest and diaphragm. You don't need a beautiful voice, just the courage to be seen and heard to anchor a new pattern in the nervous system.

3. TAPPING

We tap specific points on the body to release stuck emotion lodged in the physical vessel. Not EFT.

4. SOMATIC MOVEMENT

You don't need flexibility or a yoga background to directly work with the tissue, fascia and muscles holding the body's brace patterns. Intentional sequences to open exactly where emotion has been held. Hips. Spine. Diaphragm. Throat.

6. ENERGY WORK

We move what cannot be reached through the body alone. The field around you, the channels life force runs through, the spaces between the cells.

7. MEDITATION

We close in stillness to let the work of the session settle into the body. Integration is where the practice lands.

What Happens in a Session?

You arrive on Zoom.

You settle.

I welcome you in and ground us together. We establish safety in the body before we go anywhere.

We begin with breath. Building rhythm. Opening the channels.

Then we move. Sequences chosen to open exactly where emotion has been held. Hips. Spine. Diaphragm. Throat.

We tap. We use the voice. Sometimes loud, sometimes soft, sometimes wordless. We let the body speak what it has been holding.

We layer in somatic work and affirmations, meeting tissue and consciousness at the same time.

Energy moves through what we are opening.

We close in meditation. Stillness. Letting everything settle.

You may shake. You may cry. You may laugh.

You may feel waves of energy you cannot name.

You may feel deep stillness for the first time in years.

Whatever moves through is exactly right.

Come as you are. That is how you are loved here.

FAQ'S

Do I need a yoga background?

No. You do not need flexibility. You do not need a particular body type. You do not need any prior experience with spiritual practice. All you need is a mat or comfortable surface, enough space to extend your arms and legs, and a willingness to follow the guidance.

What do I need?

A mat or comfortable surface. Enough room to move. Comfortable clothing. Water. Somewhere quiet you won't be disturbed for 90 minutes.

Do I need headphones?

No. There is too much movement in this session for headphones to stay on. You will be standing, lying down, moving through cat-cow, tapping, possibly shaking or jumping. Headphones will either come off or break. If you live with other people, here is what we recommend instead. Set your room up. Tell your flatmates, your partner, your kids, that for the next 90 minutes you are not to be disturbed. Setting that boundary is part of the practice. Especially in Kriya. You start owning your voice the moment you tell other people you are choosing yourself for the next 90 minutes. If you really want deeper acoustics, AirPods are your call. We don't recommend Bluetooth running through your brain mid practice, and our ethos is to reduce stimulation, not add to it. But you know your body.

What if I can't make a sound? I am self conscious about my voice.

That is exactly why the voice work is in this practice.

Most of us were taught from a very young age to keep the noise down. To be quiet. To hold it in. To manage how we expressed ourselves so we remained acceptable. All of that suppressed expression is stored in the body. In the throat. In the chest. In the diaphragm. You do not need a beautiful voice. You do not need to know what sounds want to come out. You need to be willing to open your mouth and let the body speak.

If you are in a shared house, tell whoever you live with what you're doing and when. Most people are supportive when given a heads up. Keep a pillow nearby. If something wants to come out loudly, you have somewhere for it to land.

What if I have an injury or recent surgery?

Email Samantha at [email protected] before booking.

Nothing in this session requires you to push your body beyond its current capacity.

We are not here to override the body. We are here to listen to it. Modifications are always available.

How may I feel after?

Lighter. Clearer. More yourself than you have felt in a long time. For some, the hours and days after can feel raw. Emotional. Tender. A bit tired. That is your system integrating what just moved. Drink water. Eat real food. Get outside. Sleep. The integration is the real work. If you want someone to talk to in the days after, email Samantha. We don't leave anyone alone on the other side of a session.

Can I do this if I am pregnant?

Email before booking. Some of the practices need to be modified during pregnancy. Most can.

Avoid heavy meals?

Yes. Two to three hours before. The body processes more freely when it is not focused on digestion.

About Samantha

I came to this work because I grew up around people who needed to heal their trauma and didn't.

I watched what that cost them. I watched what it cost the people around them.

That set me on a path of trying to understand it.

First academically, with a Master's degree in Psychology and Social Work, and a career as a practising psychotherapist.

But I knew quickly that talking wasn't enough. Healing has to land in the body too.

So I trained as a meditation teacher. Then I went deeper, into Himalayan Kriya yoga, sound healing, shamanic practitioner work, and the path of plant medicine.

Music carried me through my own healing in ways nothing else did. I wanted to pay that forward.

What I see most often in the women who come to me, in therapy, in retreat, in session, is how many of them have shrunk themselves. Stayed quiet. Suppressed their anger. Self-sabotaged. Forgotten who they actually are.

I know that road. I've walked it.

The work I do now, sound, breath, movement, voice, energy, is the work that brought me back to myself.

Women leave my sessions feeling seen, heard, understood, empowered, interested in themselves again, and free.

That is the only invitation here,

Samantha
